Meet the Team

Design is collaborative so having a creative team to support, motivate, encourage, and design with is a very important part of our process. We work hard together, and we play hard together as well – often sharing meals, celebrations, and personal milestones as a group. Relationships are an important component to seamless design; no matter who your lead designer is, we are all here for you and are all a part of your team.

Our Designers

Patricia Walpole

Senior Interior Designer

Studio Manager

Patricia strives to design remarkable interiors that combine beauty and function. She has an innate understanding of how to integrate proportion and aesthetic to create dynamic and innovative spaces.

Growing up Patricia always maintained a love for art and design. After graduating from the University of Kentucky with a major in Interior Design and a minor in Art History, she went back to her roots and worked for five years designing homes in Charleston, SC. She is now living in downtown Greenville, and we feel lucky to have her on the LH team.

An interesting fact about Patricia is that she won a National Championship at UCA Nationals with the University of Kentucky Cheerleading squad in 2014. Being a part of a team of high-level athletes was an invaluable lesson in collaboration and communication. She now uses these skills to coordinate with the architects and project managers to create beautiful custom homes.

What I love most about design?

Excellent design should have the ability to transform a house into a home that is both beautiful and practical. A home should reflect the personality of its owners, making it as memorable and unique as its family. The possibilities are endless, and it is exciting to have the opportunity to select a combination of lighting, color, and texture that works harmoniously, and speaks to the client. Being able to see my ideas come to life on a large scale in custom homes has only deepened my passion for design.

Erin Gillig

Senior Interior Designer

Interior Design Lead

Erin’s strength in design is born out of her unceasing pursuit of perfection, scrupulous attention to detail, and exceptional work ethic. She also brings to the table a background in psychology, upon which she relies daily to collaborate with her team and understand her clients’ needs.

Erin is a South Carolina native. She greets every client with that unequivocal southern charm and tackles every design hurdle with both grace and grit. Born in Charleston, she was surrounded by rich history, traditions, and design at a young age. She moved to Greenville with her family and attended Furman Univeristy, earning a bachelors degree in psychology. After graduation she found herself called back to Charleston where she pursued a second bachelors degree in interior design. She graduated with honors and second in her class, at which point a desire to be closer to family led her back to Greenville and brought her to us. Erin joined the Gabriel family in 2019 and has never looked back. She strives to exceed expectations daily and has an innate ability to create spaces that truly reflect the clients for whom they were designed. Each of her designs are distinct and evoke a feeling that only good design can.

What I love most about design?

I do what I do because I truly love it. I consider myself extremely blessed to have found a career that I am passionate about and love waking up for every day. I think that my scrupulous attention to detail and unceasing drive to think outside of the box are qualities that contribute to my value as a designer and make me good at what I do.

Kristen Schroeder, ASID

Senior Interior Designer

Kristen earned a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Winthrop University, where she worked in the office of Campus Planning and Design. She then went on to earn her NCIDQ designation – the highest certification available for interior designers – becoming a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers. She has over 25 years of experience as a high-end residential designer.

Kristen began her professional career in Charleston, SC, where she worked for a downtown design firm on projects ranging from beachfront villas to homes in the historic part of the peninsula. She then joined one of the Southeast’s largest residential developers as merchandising manager, designing upscale model homes from Nashville to Atlanta and Raleigh to Jacksonville.

Having grown up in Greenville, SC, Kristen returned with her family in 2001 and has gained a strong reputation with builders and clients for the high degree of skill she brings to the table. We are thrilled to have her on the LH Design Studio team. Kristen has two adult sons, loves hiking and karate, and is an active volunteer for Young Life and Make-A-Wish foundation.

Jennifer Williams

Interior Designer

Cabinet Specialist

Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Art Degree in Interior Design from Anderson University Jennifer began her career as an Interior Designer specializing in kitchen and bath design. Originally from Greenville, SC she has spent the past 9 years in the Lowcountry. She brings over 15 years experience in both residential and commercial interiors and custom cabinet design. Her love for space planning and attention to detail has helped her to create unique spaces that are practical and inspiring.

“Form follows function – that has been misunderstood. Form and function should be one, joined in a spiritual union.”
– Frank Lloyd Wright.

Fun Fact:
Jennifer’s grandfather was an antique dealer and thus helped to foster her love for antique furniture and accessories.

Jennifer is married to Jason and has 2 children-Ellyson and Callen. In her spare time, she enjoys painting on canvas..

Peden Wright

Interior Designer

Peden adds flair and personality to everything she does. She is especially loved for her ability to make everyone feel comfortable and her optimistic, “glass half-full” approach to life. Born in Augusta, GA she was surrounded by visual inspiration – including tree-lined streets which framed gorgeous historic homes, and her mother’s design magazines displayed on the coffee table. Her goal is for spaces to feel designed with a designer expertise, but also be very unique to the homeowner. She uses personal details and pieces that function for her client’s needs to inspire creative space that people are proud to come home to.

Peden is a Clemson Tiger through-and-through; her parents both went to Clemson and she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

When she isn’t working, you’ll either find her painting and drawing or spending time with family, friends, her boyfriend, and her dog Hudson.

Olivia Coates

Junior Interior Designer

Drafting Specialist

Olivia graduated from Anderson University in 2022 with a BFA in Interior design, and has been an active member of the American Society for Interior Designers since 2019. She is our AutoCad specialist with an incredible eye for detail, which combined with her beautiful design work makes her a very special part of the team.

Olivia has a cat named “cat” (or sometimes “kitty”, and sometimes “kitty-cat”), she loves to cook and bake and spend time with her husband and their friends. She was born and raised in Houston so she’s an Astros and Texans fan, but she’s been known to root for the Braves, too.

Emily Stevens

Junior Interior Designer

Social Media Specialist

Emily is a recent addition to the LH Design team, having graduated from Bob Jones University with a BFA in Interior Architecture and Design. She worked with residential interiors and in design retail stores through college and brings a modern, yet classic style that is perfect for our clients. She places a high priority on building relationships, realizing that she cannot truly fulfill the needs of the client until she has built a relationship with them. Her ultimate goal is to blend function and aesthetics together to cultivate a space that feels like home.

Emily is originally from Macon, Georgia, has played the piano for 16 years (and the flute, too, we’ve been told!), is a coffee shop connoisseur (The Village Grind is her favorite), and loves babysitting.

Favorite verse:
2 Corinthians 12:9- “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

Savanna Morris

Logistics and Asset Manager

Savanna graduated from North Greenville University in 2020. She began her career working in the front office of our parent company, Gabriel Builders, but her attention to design detail was quickly noticed and she was able to move to LH Design Studio where she assists the designers. Savanna is a real asset to the design team, always willing to help out with a smile on her face.

Savanna is married to her high school sweetheart who is a high school football coach and lifelong UGA fan, so football is a big part of their lives. In addition to the Thursday and Friday high school games, they love going to Athens on Saturdays in the fall. They also have a dog they’re obsessed with named Kirby. (Go Dawgs!)

Savanna likes to garden and work outdoors, and although she doesn’t get to do it often enough, she loves spending time with her mom either antique shopping or going to brunch.
